So apparently he didn't feel like he was getting enough balls thrown his way, so he started lining up in the wrong places on purpose. What a clown. This is the sort of thing that gets you black balled in the NFL. These are the instances I like to recall when Charger fans lament the fact that character is a consideration for our draft picks. I don't want choir boys on this team, but I don't want insulent brats either.

He would fit in great in place of Royal, he just needs a change of scenery.

The strange part of that post was where it said that this led to "infighting" among the coaching staff.
??? In 15 years of coaching baseball, I've only had one player who clearly performed poorly on purpose. Afterward, not only were the coaches on the same page, but the players were, too. Heck, they wanted to kill him. (Unsurpisingly, upon news of his suspension -- we let his teammates decide the punishment, btw -- he quit the team). It looks like the players have turned their backs on Titus -- I wonder if there were any notable encounters in the locker room. . . .

Yeah it doesn't really explain how Young's behavior led to the in-fighting. I thought the fighting was because the receivers coach wanted the OC to throw more in their redzone attempt.
Also I would love to watch an "altercation" between Titus and Megatron, mostly because the latter is a specimen and the former is clearly an 8 year old trapped in a 15 year old's body.

Quote:
Megatron is definitely a beast. Some of the wide receivers nowadays are different animals than I remember in the olden days, when most of them were small, fleet, speed demons. Megatron is 6'5 236 and all muscle. Andre Johnson, at 6'3 230 (also all muscle) comes to mind because one of my favorite football memories of recent times was when he beat the crap out of Cortland Finnegan.

Umm... What is the evidence showing youngs motivation?
Am I missing something? In other words how does anyone know he lined up in the wrong place on purpose? And how does anyone know it was because he was malcontent with his opportunities? I dont know the guy so I dont have a reason to defend him but maybe hes just dumb or made a mistake out of anger. Just doesnt sound like a complete story, just a cynical perception.

LOL I read the thread title and thought the Lions had another ostentatiously nicknamed receiver I wasn't aware of.

Was a great move by Titus....Broyles got a lot more playing time and VASTLY improved the WR play for the Lions.
