LT- "Norv has lost the locker room"

LT didn't provide a very good role model for his teammates, pouting on the bench wearing his visor in the playoffs. That's not leadership, that's selfishness. I know he was bummed he couldn't go, but he should have been on the sidelines encouraging the players who could, versus sitting and sulking.

Or getting up and walking away when Rivers went to sit down next to him.

Don't get me wrong. LT was amazing when he played here. Brought the franchise back to respectability from the dregs of the league.

But he was far from being without faults of his own.

No man is without faults ChargerTom and LT is no exception.

But in Norv's first year when the team was struggling at 5-5 and Norv didn't have the locker room it was LT who pulled the team together with the resulting winning streak and deepest playoff run since the Boss Ross Super Bowl team.

I remember Gates and Philip saying the mood was lighter in the locker room after LT left. Wonder if that was because nobody was demanding more out of the team? We see the results.

I don't credit Philip and the others for sticking up for Norv at the end of last season. That was a mistake in judgment.

From what I can tell LT was the man in SD. AJ pissed him off before the 2007 AFCC. LT couldn't play and told the truth. AJ in turn started a feud with LT that day. It went all downhill from there.

Don't you guys remember those "player only" meetings our boys used to have, in hopes to right the ship and finish out the season? From my perspective, that seems like an ultimate dig against the coaching staff.

Agree, and I think LT was alot more upset about the regime change than he ever admitted in front of a camera.

He's been waiting patiently for six years to finally get to say this on TV.

he didn't like losing Brees. That was a guy he'd known since high-school and they came into the league together.

he didn't like losing Marty. That was his surrogate father figure.

Through all of the ups and downs, I think he handled the situation as professional as an emotionally attached person could.

From my perspective, that seems like the ultimate dig at themselves.

They knew they had the coaching, and they knew they had the talent. A players only meeting could be a group of men getting together, to tell each other that it's on them to execute.

whether Norv has lot the locker room or not, I don't think he is good enough to get the best out of his players
