Bunch of these guys are too old.

I'd have the most interest in Phillips, Spencer, Bowe, Bush, and Moreno.

But I think Phillips, Spencer and Moreno will be re-signed to their current teams. Bush hasn't looked that great running overall this year but maybe he could be a decent 3rd down back. Bowe will probably want too much money.

Unless we have a new front office in place i dont see us making any of those moves. At least the ones that make sense. Look at the last 4 years all the good free agents we made no moves for. Then look at the ones we did

Jason Jones - DE - Seattle- Could be a good situational pass rusher, but we are strong at the DE position so investing there wouldn't make sense.
Steven Jackson - RB - St. Louis- Maybe if the price is right
Cliff Avril - DE - Detroit- Will probably be too expensive, but he might thrive in a 3-4.
Anthony Spencer - OLB - Dallas- Would bolster the wrong side of the defense (JJ and Ingram both play LOLB, as does Spencer).
Dwight Freeney - OLB - Indianapolis- Will probably try to return to a 4-3 team.
Knowshon Moreno - RB - Denver- Interesting guy to bring in if we can get him at or near the minimum.
Casey Hampton - NT - Pittsburgh- The elderly NT we already have is playing better than Hampton
Josh Cribbs - WR/KR - Cleveland- Interesting guy for his ST acumen.
Michael Johnson - DE - Cincinnati- Probably 4-3 only.

I think so too. But regardless, getting beaten out by a rookie out of a smaller program at that position does not speak well for Captain.
