As has been said... fully guarenteed salary next season. He at least gets training camp... i'd be really surprised to see him hit the road.

Based on his cap numbers, lack of productivity, and history of minor injuries, Royal would seem to be a more likely guy to cut.

If their WR core somehow ended up like their RB core back in 2010, why not? Meachem knows their offense.

But of course it's just not a right thing to wish ANY play going on IR, especially BEFORE the season starts.

That's about the only pass I can remember PR overthrowing anyone. 95% of PR's deep balls the WR have had to pull up. Especially Meachem.

Fix the Oline and Meachem will continue to take the top off defenses. It's disappointing that he wasn't able to add anything to his game here but he still has value as a deep threat. How much more productive does anyone think Jackson would have been here? I guess the answer is at least he would be starting, but how deep could he get in the 2 seconds Rivers has to throw?

I just don't get how guys like Meachem and Royal who's been with the Chargers since mini camp and still can't produce. Whie Alexander who's been here for 5 weeks have the highest recieving yardage in that 5 weeks he's here.

Agree. They should wait to see what the new coach thinks about Meachem and Rivers. The first order of business is geting Rivers back on track. After that, the new coach needs to determine how or if Meach can be used in his offense.

For Meach to use his speed, the other way to get him involved is to give him the ball on a WR screen. DA is a beast on them, always getting a first, and that's a guy who doesn't have the speed. Meach needs confidence. Give him the ball on a screen and see what happens.
