I have to agree w/ letting Jammer or Cason or both go to NE.Then the CMB would finally realize IT'S THE SECONDARY COACH IN SD THAT'S THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!
Meeks has NEVER had productive CBs thruout his whole career. In fact, his secondaries have been some of the worst.1st,I would give Meeks to boot .The guy is the Norv Turner HC of secondary coaching. Now w/ this projected top 5 pic, I wouldbe on the phone w/ Miami about the LT Jake Long.I would do what's necessary to get this guy in a Bolt's uni. After that we work on improving the RT.We get those peices in place for 2013-2014 season we have something w/ the Oline to build w/ for upcoming seasons.Everything else w/ the O willbe evaluated as the Oline improves. The D seems to be going in the right direction(even thogh it to AJ how many years to realize you build from the Dline up).English is a sore spot that needs to be fixed.Maybe try this guy inside or just cut him for he has proven he's just a undersized DE.Phillips can go unless he's willing to stay for the money he's worth??Spikes can go to free up some cap space.Garary can go as well.Secondary is a mess because of poor coaching.Fix the coaching then evaluate. The new Chargers GM has spoken |

Our Line is so bad, I would honestly consider using 5 straight picks on the Line, replace the whole lot of them, or at least try. With a Pat's or 49'ers caliber O-line we are SB contenders.

You do realize all these rookies will take a year or so to develop right?

Honestly we're not as far away as a lot of people want to believe, Weddle is top 3 at his position, Butler is top 5. The D-line is young and improving. This is our best Defense since 2006.
A premium O-line fixes everything for us, it helps Mathews reach his potential as a top 5 RB talent, it puts Rivers back in the pro bowl. Barret Jones from Bama would be a heck of a start. He's played all 3 positions on the Line at Bama, earned an accounting degree with a 4.0 GPA. He'll likely play 10+ years at Pro Bowl level. The kind of guy you build your entire line around. |

My guess is that Gaither would stay becasue when he actually plays he's pretty good. Hardwick stays if he doesn't retire. And Vasquez is probably worth keeping. The rest of them can hit the bricks. Additionally I'd like to see us sign a Free Agent who's a potential starter at Tackle or Guard. Depending on Hardwick maybe sign a Center as well. |

If your first rounder you should be useable after the first four games of the season due to natural talent like jake long etc....IMHO your not a first rounder as an olineman if it takes a full season to pull your head out of your arse and figure the game out. Only QBs receivers and DBs should take one whole season to figure it out. It doesn't look like Andrew luck needed a whole season to figure it out. If there aren't any super high quality oline picks inside the top ten then we should move down and get more picks between late first and through out the entire second round.

He sure didn't look very good against Georgia in the SEC title game, but they said he had an ankle issue. Dunno, but I'd like to see a lot more of him, as he got mauled by the Georgia NT.
