with a new coach, PR likely will approach the season with a new perspective, which makes me believe he'll be clearing the cobwebs from his noggin. it is my belief the bolts will also prioritize the line; AND the new coaching staff will likely be able to teach 24-RM how to block in the NFL. 17 deserves another season to turn things around. If he can't step up next year with better protection - it's time to move on.

Yesterday proved what Rivers can do when he has a clean pocket to throw from. All year long he's been under duress, and when he hasn't, he felt imaginary pressure from all the hits he has taken this season. We MUST build the oline. Besides, this draft sucks for QB's. Before the trade deadline I wanted to trade for Kirk Cousins, but I think his price will sky rocket in the following weeks.

we Might as well Trade Rivers build our Defense up
as well as our Oline and work on our running game until a better QB comes along

There is not much wrong with our D. They kept us close in a vast majority of games this year. And that mock draft is ridiculous as well. DT's are very last position we need addressed. |

Sure, I have heard that Melvin Ingram played a little QB in high school. He could fill in till then. Or maybe when Norv is fired, he could fill in at the QB postion. Surely ANYBODY can play better than PR! (note: this is not to be taken serious)

Im not saying trade
but i think he does have high value. Teams like Arizona, Tennessee and Jacksonville would give 1 and a 2 for him, i'd ask for 1 and multiple 2's and 3's or a 1, 2's and one top starter and one mid level player. Say what to you want but PR is still a franchise QB, he still has a winning record as a starter, physically he's not in decline and has shown he is tough so i don think durability is a concern at his age. However, the days of the Hershel Walker mega trades are over so you really wont get fair value for PR anyway, even in his "prime" (2-3 years ago)

YES, very average. Last year, 10 QB's passed over 4000 yards including a rookie (Newton). 3 passed for over 5,000 yards. P. Manning wasn't on the list. This year, 11 are on pace to do so. QB stats have been watered down for a decade. |
