NFL doesn't need Groupon, except in desperate times. MLB apparently already has a deal with them and it makes sense because the vast majority of MLB regular season games do not sell out. NFL the story is quite different.

I have no problem with this move. Clearly if you're selling out every week you don't need to do it but it makes sense given the fact that attendance is down. It's too bad they didn't think to try it earlier in the year.

I applaud the team for trying something new and thinking outside the box for a change. Now if only they got smarter and actually put more emphasis on giveaways and halftime entertainment that could help draw more people to the games. The games are fun but the pre and mid game entertainment (outside of when people parachute in, when they let the little kids play and the Phil Mickelson challenge) are uninspired and boring.

I wish they would put more emphasis on fielding a good team that could help draw more people to the games and they wouldn't have to worry about giveaways and halftime entertainment.

The waiting list for a season ticket for the Packers is 50+ years. Could you imagine what their fans would think of an NFL team needing to resort to Groupon to sell tickets?
