Alex Smith will probably go to a team like the Cards, Jets or Jags that need a QB over being a back up for Rivers.

Reggie can still run the ball. he's a so cal guy and should be a charger. I wanted him when he was an FA a couple of years ago

I think he meant to replace rivers. Which would be the worst thing ever.
My guess is that smith ends up in kc and the chiefs go defense in round one.

Alex Smith is a decent QB. Anyone who has ever watched an SF game knows that their offense with Smith at the helm was run first and a very simplified throwing game. Who needs to throw anyway with a D like that have. As far as reggie goes, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a charger uni, but he does cause some drama in the media and is injury prone.

Drama, no drama. Kim, no kim. I would rather have Reggie than Ryan any day.
Reggie isn't just a SoCal guy, he's an SD guy. His support at the Q would be huge.

Do it. I think he could be a perfect complement to Matthews. Plus, he can catch the ball out of the backfield (which Rivers will love) and can break a big one at any time. And he's a San Diego native.
