Johnson will not be a bargain by a long shot. He's going to be one of the highest paid free agents of the offseason regardless of where he ends up.

To think he is gonna be a bargain. I don't even know where to begin.
He is gonna be top 5 paid at his position, some one will overpay. I think he is Colts bound.

I would guess Detroit, New Orleans, Atlanta, or he stays put in Cincy. He's a non-fit for the Colts 3-4 defense.

He is more the linebacker type than both Mathis and Freeney.. Pagano will make him fit. My money is still on the Colts. Atlanta is a good bet too. Abraham getting old and they cut Edwards. I don't believe that Lions and NO has the financial freedom to pursue him. Lions also might just consider to resign Avril.

Also, what do people think of Paul Kruger? Think he could be a good ROLB that could be gotten through FA?

As for another bargain FA, I'd say Ryan Lilja could be a terrific stopgap starters for us (a la Mike Goff and Roman Oben)...that would allow us to develop a younger player more slowly and give us more freedom to take BPA in the draft.

Not sure if this is correct but I heard from a raider fan buddy that janikowski is set for fa. I dont know if he would be a bargain or what his going rate would be but ive always been a closet fan and would love to upgraded from nick "good enough" novak. we struggled a lot around the opponents 40 a lot this season, having that russian alcoholic would have secured us a lot of points. Imagine scoring on 80 percent of drives.

One guy who will likely be available this offseason is Max Starks, the Steelers LT. Starks will be 31 soon but he's been the guy entrusted to protect Big Ben's blindside. He still wants to start somewhere. Starks isn't a Pro Bowler but he's a serviceable player who could start here for 1-2 years...much like Roman Oben did here years ago.
Starks will be cheaper to sign than Vollmer and Andre Smith. Plug him next to a stud rookie OG like Warmack or Dallas Thomas and suddenly the left side of the O line will be much improved. Starks made $825k this past season and started at LT all season long.
