Yup, Fisher's strength is nothing to sneeze at.

Still like Lewan more. He's got a Dielman like mean streak, he's strong and a very good athlete if you ask me. He'd be 9ish on my big board, Fisher probably a few spots behind.

How does it get applied to an O lineman? Can a defensive player have it? I never hear someone say Suh has a mean streak. I think it's one of hose phrases overused. |

Lewan is going to battle to the whistle and after it for a little just like Dielman did.

http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/201...-new-contract/ La Canfora explained Gaither and the Ravens were “at odds on occasion” regarding the extent of his injury, but his sources say Gaither is now healthy. If a franchise LT is available at our pick in the 1st round, we'll draft him...unless we get a trade offer that the new GM can't refuse.

Anyhow, that's just my impression after seeing a lot more Fisher. No way to really substantiate it. I like them both in any case. It may be overused, but it's definitely a real criteria for scouts. And my understanding is that it gets applied to linemen who block "to the echo of the whistle" and play a little dirty. That was how Dielman earned the moniker. For example, many linemen will let up on their man after a successful block if the play is moving away. But a lineman may earn the "mean streak" label if he refuses to let until the play is over, regardless of how far away the action has moved.
