I'm certain that the best way to move forward is hiring a head coach to be a head coach, and mitigate all other responsibilities. You want a head coach that can bring an attitude change, a philosophy and delegate actual playcalling duties to his respective assistant coaches.
I think a Vic Fangio or even a Whisenhunt would be good at the top, dependent upon the hiring and selection of coordinators available. I would bring in Cam Cameron back to do offensive playcalling, leaving Pagano as DC and the two above as head coaches. I wouldn't even rule out Rich Bissachia for head coach either. |

It's a double edged sword. We might have had the talent if he was a better coach. Since he wasn't, we didn't. Although, he was spot on about being more successful when you keep your stars. He deserves to be fired, but he also has the right to toss AJ under the bus.

He also got to an AFC championship game with a hobbled Tomlinson, Rivers, and Gates.

Whether he is right or not, isn't he in essence throwing AJ under the bus? If he truly doesn't mind going back to being an OC again, it may just get a little harder. I think it would have been better if Norv hadn't said anything.

Marty was one step away the previous year.

Don't forget Rivers had one of the worst interception records the last 2 years.

Lol isn't Norv the same guy who says every year this is the most talented team he has ever coached as the talent keeps depleting each year lmao.

perhaps. He wasn't brutal. Nothing he said wasn't true either. He could of been more politically correct. AJ was for sure.

Marty didn't even win a PO game. Norv won 2 that year on his way to the AFCC game
