I'd imagine if we go corner in the second, we'd have to shore up one OL starter spot in FA? Also, would that make Gilchrist a permanent nickle package guy? He seemed to do very well in that spot this year, IMO. Between him and DeMorrio, they patched the TE hole from last year.

I think we're only realistically solving one of our OL issues (for 2013) in the draft. There are very few cases of rookie offensive linemen outside the top 40 playing well. Or if they do play well, it's not until the 2nd half of the season. For the other problems we'll need to turn to FA. Personally I'd like to sign a RT (Gosder Cherilus) to start and a G (Matt Slauson) to compete with Troutman and perhaps start. Then we can hopefully draft out LT in the first (Fisher please) and a center in the top 4 rounds.

And I've always viewed Gilchrist as a nickel. Not necessarily a bad thing- nickels play around 50% of the snaps these days.

Bills will first commit money to Jairus Byrd and that will be a big contract. I'm guessing Levitre will be second in line.

Yup. Will be curious to see how much they give Byrd and can afford with Levitre. Then again, not like we're flush either.
