Paul Kruger is putting a clinic on the Colts right now.

Their Oline also sucks.

Kruger would be a great addition as a rotational guy (not a long term solution), but he may have played himself out of the salary range for a rotational guy.

I would be happy with resigning Barnes as opposed to signing Kruger. Same type of player, but Barnes is going to be cheaper and in 2011 he had just as good of a season as Kruger's having at the moment.

But in 2012, he was not good at all aside from one game against the Ravens.

Which is why he's going to be cheap. Frankly, this team needs to spend the vast majority of its FA money on a starting CB and the offensive line, so sacrifice is necessary. Barnes has played well here in the past and can again IMO.

I don't want him back. I think we need to go after someone in the draft to rush the QB, hopefully in the first two days. I agree with you about spending on CBs in FA, as well as one, perhaps 2 OL. However, I think we need to take a serious look at a pass rusher in the draft.

I want Barnes too, though. He's good depth, and I really think he's going to be dirt cheap because of his terrible 2011 season. You don't think he's worth a spot on a 55-man roster? EDIT: Whoops, meant to write 2012 season. Last edited by interpolfan11; 01-08-2013 at 06:38 AM.. |

LeGarrette Blount will be a free agent. He has a ton of talent and no longer fits in Tampa. He could be a power back and a fan favorite here.
If we can spend our money and draft picks on fixing the O line, then we can bring in a cheaper RB like Blount or even Redman to help Mathews. I'd rather hav

With a revamped O-line, and possibly a more run-oriented offense, Mathews/Blount would be a nice 1-2 punch. Even if we don't pick up LeGarette, I just hope we add a better backup RB. And hopefully a decent Corner! |
