From that vid, I like what I see. Much better fundamentals than Lewan. It's not even close.

While I think Lewan is a better athlete than you do, we agree that Fisher is head and shoulders better as a technician- which I put a premium on when it comes to offensive linemen.

I just want a stud at 11 ... a guy that can come in and start day one.

Fisher looks the part, Lewan looks like he needs a year before he's a capable NFL RT.

Joeckle will be gone, so I really am not going to worry about him.

I still think Warmack might be the best OL in this draft .... but an OG at #11 is early. Yet, Warmack and a new center (Cave?) might allow PR to actually step up when edge pressure comes, instead of seeing Hardwick's butt in his lap.

We need a stud on the OL. In Dielman's best years, he could chip at either Hardwick or MM's guy, and handle his own. A true Pro Bowl quality guard evevates the play of the guys on both sides of him.

I actually agree with you re: Lewan. He would need a year. Either that or his team will suffer through some growing pains. But if we take a guard at #11 I will be royally pissed. We had better trade down before doing that. Hutchinson didn't even go that high.

You best be watching those centers play tonight. Cave on Jesse Williams and Jones on Louis Nix. Best game of the season for center play.

I wouldn't be pissed, but do agree, hope they could swing a trade down if they targeted Warmack.

I've seen all but one ND game this year. Seen 3-4 Bama games. I never thought much of Jones, and really thought bad of him vs. Georgia .... but it can out about his hurt foot.

I am going fanboy tonight ..... lol .... my Dad is a Notre Dame alum, so I've been wearing Irish colors since I was born. I will DVD the game and rewatch multiple times - mostly to study the OL vs front 7 of each team.

I think he's had some problems with the big DT's, looked like crap a few times vs Purdue, had issues against Stanford ..... has tools, but thinking he's a mid round guy. I did see him get to second level and finish. Just worried about him being able to anchor vs NT's - which Hardwick has real issues with.

Purdue had Kawann Short and Stanford has a lot of talented big men. Interesting.
