Lets get an OC fresh out of college with a new and different perspective.

BFTB Twitter won't shut up about Geep Chryst, Niners QBs coach. Served as our OC in 99 and 00 with Riley and has a history with McCoy.

Hue Jackson and Pete Carmichael are definitely on my short list. And before it comes up, Carmichael is a free agent coaching wise, so he can go to any team. Not sure if theres any connections there, but either would be a really good option IMO. Again, a lot of this is going to be based on what connections McCoy has to who.

This is what I wrote in the other thread:
But I like to see Chan Gailey as OC here. I remember reading about how he does a good job of fitting his scheme to his personnel as opposed to the other way around during his time in Buffalo. The only thing is that he tends to get a little creative for his own good. I think having him solely as OC will help in that endeavor. Though he also doesn't believe in the no huddle offense like Norv (at least in Buffalo with Fitzpatrick). Another good point is that his playing calling, especially for passes helps alleviate a lot of pressure from the pass rush. The Bill's oline is good, but they are helped out a lot by the fact that Gailey calls so many quick three or 5 step drops. He will help Rivers here even if we can't get everything about the oline fixed in one year.

He gave me a Best Buy card for Christmas that I couldn't eat and a picture I tried to barbeque but it didn't taste too good. He can't afford to feed us. He has like 9 kids. Seriously, he does take care of us all the time with little things. |

I wouldn't be too concerned with the Spanos owning the team. The power structure is too stabilize here for that to happen IMO.

I'm not worried about it happening, I'm worried about him trying. If he did, it would no doubt create a fissure in the staff and that's not way to be running a team.

Nah, all of this is surrounded by the play he made forcing the trade for Carson Palmer, which IMO was far from the worst move he could make...He was trying to find the best option for his team to win, and Palmer was the best QB out there, the problem was that with the whole situation, he had nobody advising/guiding him or doing these things for him, so it was viewed as a disrespectful move to the org in the wake of the death of big Al.
