Default Breer mocks no QBs in the 1st round

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/mock-d...t-breer/155117

Interesting, he claims that his mock is based on correspondence of some sort with NFL execs. I've posted in other threads that I predicted a moving away from reaching for QBs. I disagree in a sens, though, with Breer. Though I feel Geno is far from being worthy of the #1 overall pick, I still think he's a top 10 or so prospect. I don't think there's anyone else worth picking till the bottom of the 1st.

Almost as interesting, he has 4 OL going before us. Our consolation prize: Star.

Really early mock drafts don't mean much. The teams that whiffed hard on QBs in the last few years are going to be desperate. Jaguars, Jets, Bills, Chiefs, Titans and Arizona all need QBs. Geno Smith is going to test well at the combine and skyrocket to the top, Barkley will show well at the senior bowl and comebine and I'm sure will make his way back up in to the late/mid first. Happens yearly.

Cordarelle Patterson that high? I don't even...

Unless Albert leaves, Joeckel is a waste...

That article was solely made to get attention. It has no integrity whatsoever.

No QBs drafted in the first round in a league dominated by the QB position? Gimme a break.

The Chiefs would be stupid to let a known commodity in Albert walk to draft a unproven guy for the same position. The idea is to make your team better.

I can see them taking Star in his place. Or just taking Geno.

Whoa, I like Patterson, but not THAT high...
I'm not even sure Milliner is worthy of that high of a pick.

As far as QB goes, I can see them sliding, but I see teams trying to jump back into the 1st to get a shot at their next QB before day 2.

I like and respect Gil Brandt, but there would be no way we pass on Fisher to take Dion.

Our pick looks like it would be a good one if we didnt have Cam Thomas. Cam Thomas seems to be getting better every year.. I doubt we would have a rookie sit behind a NT starter when we need defensive starters the most right now.

I think Cam has some promise. But Star's a special talent. I think he starts right away, even as a 3-4 NT. No way he gets out of top 5 though.
