Thomas still struggles with leverage at the POA on running downs. That's why Franklin started over him this season. And Cam is in the last year of his contract. Star would be an upgrade.

I could understand if no team goes QB. I think 1-2 go first round but this crop of QBs is pretty weak. He has two guards in the top 10? Hmmm.

Norv is fired so it is probably no longer expected that rookies will be on the bench.

I think what Breer is referring to is that Dorsey, the new GM in KC, has come out to say they'll take the best player available. It's meaningless. If they like Geno, they'll take him and say they thought he was the best player available.

I think that mock is an overreaction.

Good one.

I understand the NFL maturation process, but we have so much young talent that I've wanted to see more of . . . .

Not only that, but the OP stated his selections were based on "conversations with NFL execs." The lying has definitely started. I still think at least 2 QBs will go in the top 10, and as you suggested in another post, there's a good chance of 3 going off the boards.

The bottom line on the QBs is that it's more than likely at least one, if not more are going to develop into really good QBs. Now the pressure is on the front office of each team that needs a QB to determine which player(s) that's going to be. And theoretically, 4 could go in the top 10 if KC does take a QB at 1, although unlikely. Still, you could see KC, Jacksonville, Arizona, and Buffalo all take a QB in the 1st. That might mean one or more of them trade down though to get one or more extra picks to kind of hedge their bets on picking a QB in the 1st.

Couldn't agree more. Norv kept thinking with his and AJ's jobs on the line he had to stay with veterans. Probably would have done no worse, and perhaps a few more wins had he made the move to the younger guys early.

Fisher is not a top 10-11 player in the draft, he never was.
