Time to listen to offers for Gates?

This is stupid.

At best you are going to get a 4th for Gates, which is basically a crapshoot in the draft and then on top of that you have to worry about replacing his production.

Our passing (and running and scoring) numbers this year were offensive.

2006 Passing: 3,262 24 TD
2007 Passing: 3,005 22 TD
2008 Passing: 3,858 34 TD
2009 Passing: 4,338 29 TD
2010 Passing: 4,519 30 TD
2011 Passing: 4,426 27 TD
2012 Passing: 3,296 26 TD

You get this offense clicking again and Gates numbers go up, too. And honestly, 7 TD per season ain't that bad. He was still a major factor in some of our wins.

Gates is untradeable not because it would be disloyal. He's untradeable because his value to our offense is far greater than what we would get for him.

The Chiefs got a 2nd for Gonzalez when he was Gates' age coming off of this year:

96 catches, 1,058 yards, 11 YPC, 10 TD's

So what would we then get for Gates coming off the year he just had? A 5th?
