Me, too. Battle > Blount.

Battle has value as a reserve RB/FB/ST guy, but I think we need to do better in terms of the #2 runner behind Mathews.

What he wants is not necessarily what he'll get.

Yeah no kidding. The Ravens will probably just tag him and see how Upshaw comes along.

So his performance this season was based on 2 things:
- Jarret Johnson leave, so he has more playing time - It's his contract year, he'll be extra motivated. I doubt we'll sign him for 8 mils a year. Some pass rusher desperate team might bite, maybe the Jets?

Doubt it, Flacco is getting the tag.

Not if he gets a contract.

This is true. This is going to be very interesting, for win or lose, I think he has the Ravens over the barrel here. There certainly isn't any QB in the draft likely to accomplish what he can, at least not for a number of years. And, with their defense putting age on and needing an influx of talent, having to draft a QB, or go out will almost certainly knock them out of playoff contention for a number of years. Too many variables that will put the Ravens between a rock and a hard spot should they not either sign or franchise Flacco. Then again, with the franchise for QBs being in the $14 million range, and top QBs making in the $17-20+ million range, using the tag on Flacco might be their easiest and cheapest route, and then go about signing the other players they want to keep to long-term deals. Still, I think Flacco has the upper hand here, and his play just keeps getting better and better, but what I like best, is he has seemed to step it up as both a leader, and as a clutch player. Were it not for a perfectly thrown but dropped pass, the Ravens may have been SB champs last year.
