Default AJ Smith info...

Looks like he talked to Jacksonville and the Jets took a run at him...

"Fans get frustrated when a franchise's run ends. Often, the local media rips at management, with many thinking the outgoing general manager won't land anywhere. That will not be the case with Smith. He talked with the Jacksonville Jaguars about their general manager job. According to a source, a third party reached out to him about the New York Jets GM position, but nothing materialized."

More interesting stuff in the article at this link

I agree... I don't see Smith wanting a GM job without roster control.

Shanahan would think like this..."AJ where's my player I needed at this position?" AJ..."Right away Mr. Shanahan?" I just can't see AJ having any sway in the Skins organization.

I don't think AJ will be offered a job right away. But I'm sure he'll get hired, eventually.

He was already offered the Jets job.

That's the quote from the ESPN article linked earlier in this thread. They were obviously interested in Smith, but reached out doesn't necessarily mean they offered him the job. It's vague at best.

Haha would have been funny and hilarious to see an AJ Smith-Rex Ryan duo!

AJ would likely also just let Revis go.
