Looks like he talked to Jacksonville and the Jets took a run at him...

"Fans get frustrated when a franchise's run ends. Often, the local media rips at management, with many thinking the outgoing general manager won't land anywhere. That will not be the case with Smith. He talked with the Jacksonville Jaguars about their general manager job. According to a source, a third party reached out to him about the New York Jets GM position, but nothing materialized."

I dont really see AJ in the Skins organization,as claimed in link,with Shannarat doing his thing there.

I don't think AJ will be offered a job right away. But I'm sure he'll get hired, eventually.

That's the quote from the ESPN article linked earlier in this thread. They were obviously interested in Smith, but reached out doesn't necessarily mean they offered him the job. It's vague at best.
