How so? The city of LA has NEVER put it together enough to build a football stadium and they had three teams that played there. Now they have no team and even less of a chance of pulling off a new football stadium.

Both LA and SD have a lot of work to do, but LA is further along than SD. What they need is a team and the financing. What we need is the financing and the site. The common problem is of course the money and hence where it will come from. LA thought they had that with AEG, but alas that may not be the case. SD's only advantage is that we have a team, they don't. That can be solved with a stadium deal that doesn't bankrupt Spanos. |

So is building a stadium that bad for you guys? Would it hinder you guys in anyway? I know money is tight nowadays, but is a few cents more on the dollar really a big deal?
I don't understand everything you guys would have to do to get a deal, but I know in Indianapolis where I live we pay a few more cents for every item we buy. I do know the Super Bowl we had made business BIG bucks! So in the end wouldn't it be worth it?

This wouldn't be all that bad except that the state and many major cities are broke. Our schools are rated 43/50, our roads and other infrastrure falling apart, our state pensions are severely under funded and that's just the tip of the iceburg. We still have one of the highest unemployment rate in the country. Asking CA voters to fund a stadium for billionaires/private for profit industry is just not going to work here. |

I never thought the Chargers would move. The LA metro area has the worst reputation in the country when it comes to the NFL. They lost two teams in less than a year. USC and UCLA draw big crowds, but the Rams and Raiders $truggled.

The Raiders had trouble filling the 100K stadium. They couldn't work out a deal and their attendance dropped once it was clear they were on their way out. In both cases they left because of stadium issues. If the Chargers leave SD it will be for stadium issues. Nothing new. LA would welcome back the Rams with open arms and they would do very well there. If the Chargers are the second team I don't believe they would do as well. If the Chargers are the only team in LA they also would do very well if accompanied by a new stadium. Being the second fiddle has got to bother Spanos and that's exactly what the Chargers would be if the Rams moved back which is distinct possibility. |

It may come down to PSLs and if the fan base in SD will pay for it. This worked for the 49ers but the cost to the fan base will have to be adjusted for SD as it's not the Bay Area. |

Guys let's just wait and see what the mayor, and the Chargers work out. He said he does want the team to stay.
Let's not make this all political with accusations. Filner is now the mayor. That wont change. All we can hope for is him working with the chargers to get a stadium built.
