Default Norv can't fix Weeden or McCoy?!
Was kinda surprised by this article... With Norv's reputation for developing QB's, your telling me he can't do anything with Weeden or McCoy? Seems strange to me... Weeden seems like he could eventually develop into a serviceable QB. The Browns have such questionable methods on running their team, I just don't get it. I feel sorry for Browns fans.

They aren't cutting him so if would have to be a trade and that doesn't seem worth it

Smith lacks the downfield ability to excel in Norv's system IMO. And yes, I know Smith played under him in 2006. He was mediocre.

Agree. His improvement over the last two years is because the 49ers switched to the WCO. I don't know why everyone thought Norv did such a great job with him when he threw 16 TDs and 16 interceptions with a 74.8 QBR in 2006. I hope for Alex's sake he goes to a team that runs the WCO and stays as far away as possible from Norv's obsession with the vertical game.

Chiefs have shown the most interest in Smith, and if it's a trade then their picks are worth more. No one wants McCoy or Weeden. Smith, Flynn, and Foles are ahead of both of them in the QB market.

All Norv needs to look good is Trent Richardson to touch the ball 400 times and a good TE.

Isn't Norv supposed to be "the quarterback whisperer"?

I feel really bad for Browns fans. It's astounding that this guy continues to get jobs in the NFL.
