Something which irritates me is Rivers used to be a favored QB and get that extra second when the clock hits 0. He has fallen out of the good graces of the refs. Now they flag him on the spot for delay of game. I hope with a new HC and revamped offensive line he can start getting that extra second again like Brees/Manning/Brady.


Then again, maybe a new playcaller will get the plays in faster.

I agree. A flag should only come out for something real like a bone sticking out of a ball carriers leg. And then the penalty should be on the ball carrier for delay of game.

That's calling it pretty tight, don't you think? Let them play. If the guy gets up and walks off the field under his own power before the play clock expires, keep the hankies in their pockets.
