sour grapes... Norv could take a ProBowl team to a college game and still lose. And then, complain, "I didnt have enough talent to win."

Average weight exceeding over 400 lbs, BWAHAHAHAHA, that's on the most funny things I have read on these boards

Did they shoot lasers out of theirs eyes as well?

There was one time though I really was very happy for Norv as a person though not just the coach of the team, when we were winning that first playoff game, the look of pure joy on the mans face, when he knew the win was coming, watching him have fun with Castillo doing his poor version of Castillo's little dance on the sideline, just felt good for him as a human being seeing him succeed and being able to read how much it meant to him on his face. I'm a sucker for seeing people happy and I never want anyone to fail on a human level.

Not liking the Norv hire was a lot different than not liking the man, I don't know him so it was never a "I don't like Norv" feeling it was just "I don't like him as the HC of the Chargers because he can't do the job" kind of thing.
I remember those few times too. I still think he's a decent man. In hindsight I wish we had him as OC, (and Wade Phillips as DC). In retrospect that didnt happen and we played the cards we were dealt. Norv at times looked clueless. Norvs strategy in the second half of most games was baffling. I will say however, that no other head coach would have done much better the past too seasons with the personnel we had. Oline and secondary were flat out aweful. Rivers regressed and I dont see many other coaches getting alot out of him with what we had on the field. So I am blaming AJ for the recent debaucle as much as I am blaming Norv.

It kind of becomes a philosophical debate. Such as if we had some better talent would we have won a few more games, or if we had a better coach would we have won a few more games. if we had a better oline and a different coach we may have been 12-4. I predicted an 11-5 season and that could have easily happened for us IF???

I wonder what all the players think of being called not talented enough to win by their former HC.

Isn't it nice to know that for the last 3 seasons, the attitude of our head coach has been "I've lost too many players, I can't win with these guys"? Talk about the season being over before it even starts. If the supposed leader of the team didn't even believe in his players, how were they supposed to believe in themselves? How hard did Norv really try to get these guys to play better if he believed that average play was the best they were capable of?
