Solid post.

I won't go so far as to say "cut them all", but we should be making some cuts of beef.

You do bring up a good comp. I wouldn't be surprised if 15 is the number. More than that I say let him walk.
I think 15 is realistic. And I'd also agree that much more it gets difficult to pay out.

But do you balk at 15.7 or 16.3???

Crazy what edge rushers get but so is a 20+ million $ QB with over two dozen turnovers in a season.

Didn't think the tough choices would be about manscaping when I clicked on the thread.

Would love it, but no way.

Guys with sacks, even average numbers, get paid and well.
Yeah, you're right, the market is the bottom line. I was comparing him to an out-dated contract (Clay Matthews). It's crazy what Vernon got. Hopefully 5 years/70M gets it done. Problem is that Bosa will be a very rich young man when his rookie contract is up. MI's deal has to be structured to where he's cuttable by the time Bosa has to be locked up.

Hairston - Pulley - Slauson - Clark - Burwell

Happy now?

It would be front-loaded imo. Which obviously hurts our attempts to fix other spots via FA.

If you want to get really depressed, Von got 19 a year. I know MI isn't Von, but that won't change the fact that Von's contract will be brought up in negotiations.

Do you think the results of these guys are going to be all that much different then what we've seen the last 4 years or so?

Yes, I do.

BTW, I'm all for letting Franklin and Fluker go. Just not the OTs.

Don't forget Kellen Clemens.
You can add $5 to the bottom line.

The best Offense is a good Defense.
