That's why the Chargers are in the mess they are in. A.J. spent too many picks reaching for players at positions of need instead of taking the best talent available at the time. If you draft the best player on the board you upgrade your team with every pick.

When you reach for BPA at a position of need you get the current roster filled of average talent. 3 years in a row missing the playoffs seems to back up what I'm saying and have been saying for too long.

A balance has to be struck. Reaching for need over talent created our mess. Reaching for talent and ignoring need created Arizona's. You can err in either direction. BPA at positionS of need seems to be the way to go.

Luckily for us, I am pretty convinced that Eric Fisher will be one of the best players available at 11, and he fits our biggest need.

Given that we passed on a couple of good receivers to get mouton and then proceeded to pay for half baked receiver talent (injured, game defective)...it made it doublly worse. when does a team ever have the luxury to pass up good talent at a position of upgrade need to get a crap shoot player. ????
