Perhaps if you return to the "Alex Smith" thread to explain why the people who disagree with your assertion -- you claim that SF won last week -- are ignorant. Maybe that would help us understand what your definition of "ignorance" is.

Yeah, I have to agree with the poster above. Rivers is gone in five years, probably a lot sooner. This team will be unrecognizable in five years to where it is now. There will be almost a 100% turnover by then.

My guess (just a guess) is that our window has closed and it a complete rebuild. New GM, new coach, new OL, new D backs. We have a few good pieces on defense that should be around awhile and we should attract a good coach. I also think we'll be the LA Chargers in five years.

I agree with your take on the offensive side. But I am VERY optimistic about our defense, given how young it is, and how well it has played this year. I agree we will have new D-Backs. But we have a very strong, young group who hopefully will only get better over the next few years.

with no big shake up? and no big changes? best I think we will be is a 8 and 8 team at best any given season.
for all them people who say we dont need a new coach? its not Norvs fault. Well all you have to do is look at SF niners. yeah there not there but Their coach to a low talent team and has started something there , bringing in some good players and making decent players step up
Atleast their fans have hope they can win the next game?
All we chargers know is that we will lose the next game

Brown is the only current player on offense that I can imagine being excited about 5 years from now. The defense is on the way up.
