Looks like Sanchez could not be on the Broncos roster to start the season:

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the draft pick Denver traded for Mark Sanchez was a conditional pick.

That means the Broncos will not owe the Eagles anything if they decide to release Sanchez at final cuts. After losing out to Trevor Siemian for the starting job, Sanchez now appears to be competing with rookie Paxton Lynch for his roster spot. The Broncos could also save $3.5 million by releasing Sanchez.

9 News Denver's Mike Klis confirms Mark Sanchez has fallen behind Trevor Siemian in the Broncos' quarterback battle.

Sanchez is now in danger of losing the backup job to rookie Paxton Lynch. "The competition may no longer be Siemian vs. Sanchez," wrote Klis, "but Siemian vs. Lynch." Klis suggests Sanchez's roster spot isn't secure if he can't hold off Lynch due to a $4.5 million salary, all of which would come off of Denver's cap were Sanchez cut. Sanchez has committed three turnovers in limited action across two preseason appearances. Siemian and Lynch are both expected to play more snaps than Sanchez in the Broncos' regular season dress.

Who would you want if the unthinkable happens? Sanchez or Clemens? OK...let's not even go there.

Mark Sanchez is a big downgrade from Peyton Manning. I do not think that Broncos will do as well this year.

The Broncos are having quarterback issues now. So much for Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow.
