Default Steelers Chairman Dan Rooney

The Steelers have lost Dan Rooney at the age of 84.

Class act who will be missed all around the league.

The media talk about players coaches...few owners can say they are are a players owner. NFL Network reported Dan use to sit in the back of the plane to leave leg room for players. He not only routinely shook hands with guys in the locker room after the game win or lose but made that extra effort to get to know each player on and off the field.

Mr. Rooney deeply cared for his players and about the game of football. Rest in Peace Mr. Rooney.

Rooney. The model by which all other owners should follow. Godspeed Mr. Rooney.
