The Cleveland Browns matched an offer sheet made to C Alex Mack by the Jacksonville Jaguars on April 11, 2014. The new five year contract is with $42 million, with $18 million fully guaranteed upon signing. The guaranteed portion of the contract is his 2014 and 2015 base salaries. His $8 million 2016 salary is guaranteed for injury only and becomes fully guaranteed if Mack opts to not void the 2016 through 2018 years of the contract. In 2017 and 2018 Mack has roster bonuses worth $2 million each that are due on the 5th day of the League Year. Base salaries are $10,000,00(2014), $8,000,000(2015), $8,000,000(2016), $6,000,000(2017), and $6,000,000(2018).

He says that the only reason he'd leave is to go to a winning program - which isn't the Chargers. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/c...portant-122415
He has an option to opt out. Were moving to LA and he is from LA so maybe he will want to come here

Mack is in his 30s now I doubt he wants to start over with a new QB

He's never had a QB his entire career... What would he be starting over from?

He just turned 30 in November, not quite over the hill yet. I'd give him a 2 year deal.

And he is from California...

I meant to say rookie QB not new QB haha.

I think we make a play for him.

Whisenhunt had a veteran in Hardwick in 13' so I think he'll lobby for a vet center

Franklin played RT for the Broncos in 2012. He also played for a Tebow led Broncos team.

Also, Dunlap struggled mightily @RT for the Eagles. And Barksdale will be way too expensive to be a reserve and no chance he signs to be a backup.
Call me a Freak, but I would literally overpay him. Just his ability to stay healthy should get him paid (plus he was our best lineman this season)

I mean.........let's see the numbers first. I don't want to go CRAZY here.

Dunlap at LT and Tunsil at RT= solid.

Barksdale to provide depth = solid.

Rivers would solid his pants with joy.

Draft a center in round 3 and sign a decent FA center = SOLID

Good idea. Plus....

If we can afford to pay Donald Brown we can afford to let him go and pay for O-line talent/depth.

River's ribs thanks TT in advance.
