As far as the Rangers, they blew a two goal lead with just over 3 minutes left. That may be it for them-a bad loss. Lundqvist is no longer the superb goalie he was, age is catching up. NYR defense looking shaky too. Despite being a Ranger fan, I am objective and realistic. I believe they are probably done.
Might as well say it's about the color of the uniforms.

That's as mojo-juju-luck based as the reality: 95% of the goals in the NHL now are scored on lucky bounces.

Looking that way, but......

Blues and Preds play a style that the Pens might find frustrating, and both goalies are playing well.

Edmonton is the only team that has the scoring talent to match the Pens, but they lack the experience found with the Pens.

Ducks are very talented, as are the Caps, but both seem to choke under pressure.

Fleury is a very streaky goalie, when the hot streak ends, he becomes pedestrian in his play.

How does Freaks love for the Pens hurt my feelings ?

Freak is a fan of a successful organization, I have no issues with that at all.

Great roster-----but they lucked into what you need. Hot at playoff time.

I agree with you on Fleury. He has always spooked me in the post-season. If he goes cold---whew. Look out.

I would call it a 'committed' roster....

Depleted defence (losing Letang is big), losing the starting goalie (Murray) has found this group buying in on the 'everyone plays defence' mentality. Look at the shots blocked by forwards stat, combined with blocks by defence, clearly there is motivation to protect Fleury.

Caps are playing very good, just not getting any puck love.....which seems to be their normal when playing the Pens in the PO's.

He was a shared starter splitting time with Fleury.

I mean......they are both Pens Cups winner so, peu importe.
