I'd also be OK with taking a guard like Feeney in the 2nd , if he's not taken by someone else in the first round.
Yeah... this is the reason why I am leaning towards another playmaker along the front 7 on D. Who is going to play the all-important middle LB for us? Perryman?... or do we have to select Foster? In the 4-3, that position seems so important. All that being said, I have been asking for Beef along the lines for years... No OLinemen in the picture at 7.... Allen looks like he might fit the bill... playing next to Bosa.

Allen or Thomas would be ideal pick for us, although I give the nod to Thomas because of the versatility he would bring to the line play and defense as a whole.

I will repeat it.

20 yard Short Shuttle.

A measurement of explosion, short area quickness, and lateral mobility.

Von Miller 4.06
Solomon Thomas 4.09

Three one hundredths of a second difference.

Solomon was measured two days ago at Carlsbad, if y'all know where that is.

Unofficial but he ain't done training to get even quicker.

Well if that's the case he won't make it to 7. Dude his size (easily 20 lbs's on Von) and ability to kick inside. Give you a nightmarish DE/DT.

Who are your Top 6 ?
Would you take him at 7 ?

For me it is
1. Myles Garrett.
2. Solomon Thomas.
3. Leonard Fournette.

In the entire draft.

Big board just on pure talent and upside....

1. Myles Garrett
2. Malik Hooker
3. Solomon Thomas
4. Dalvin Cook
5. Jonathan Allen
6. Leonard Fournette
7. Marshaun Lattimore
8. Sidney Jones
9. Corey Davis
10.Mike Williams

Those last 4 or so are almost interchangeable.

Problem is does a team take a RB that high?

Dalvin Cook is the most complete RB in the draft, but I believe he has a shoulder issue. I think the NFL is going to go back to a more balance style, and RB's are going to come off the board early but possibly after the Chargers pick.

CB with the depth at DB this year, and lackluster years at DE I wonder if these DE don't go flying off the board early and often.

If all of above is the case Hooker is the intriguing one because of his elite ballhawking playmaker skills (exactly how you would create a FS in madden), but with the rumors of lack of love for the game, and the two injuries it's a gamble to use such a valuable resource although it could pay HUGE dividends.

There is so much uber athleticism at the top of this draft.
I want one of the defenders.
