A- grade

Could end up an A+ over time.

An A from me means 3 starters at need positions that truly contribute. A+ is those 3 starting their first year I think it will turn out that we did at least an A.

TRUTH - he was the glue that held RIVERS together rather than in pieces.

That makes no sense. You do realize that Slauson played his entire career, except 20 games at OG, right? We have a ton of potential OG's on the roster and just Slauson and Tuerk as our current OC options.

And considering it's the HC who decides who plays where, I could care less what Whiz said, especially considering these guys haven't even seen the field yet to even make an evaluation on who should be where.

Here are some grades from the media...

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-dra...sults-analysis

A - B grades from these sources

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers graded out as having one of the best drafts, largely for taking guard Forrest Lamp in the second round. Wide receiver Mike Williams in the first round was a solid choice as well. Getting defensive back Desmond King with the 151st pick was an unquestioned steal.
SB Nation grade: B
CBS Sports: B+
USA Today: A-
Sports Illustrated: A
Washington Post: B+

NFL Analysis:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...r-all-32-teams

Los Angeles Chargers
Draft picks: Mike Williams (No. 7 overall), Forrest Lamp (No. 38 overall), Dan Feeney (No. 71 overall), Rayshawn Jenkins (No. 113 overall), Desmond King (No. 151 overall), Sam Tevi (No. 190 overall), Isaac Rochell (No. 225 overall)
Day 1 grade: A-
Day 2 grade: B
Day 3 grade: B+
Overall grade: B+
The skinny: Mike Williams is a physically dominating receiver who will make life easier for Philip Rivers. He has enough speed to make plays, as well. Keenan Allen's injury forced the team's hand, as well. It will be interesting to see where second-round pick Forrest Lamp plays for the Chargers; he would be an excellent center. It was an excellent value pick. The Chargers again bolstered the interior of the line with Dan Feeney, who will play guard to protect Philip Rivers and block for Melvin Gordon. Hitting two interior linemen that early is a bit of a knock, as they need safety and linebacker help.
The Chargers' safety group needed an upgrade. Desmond King (fifth round) and Rayshawn Jenkins (sixth) should help in that effort. Finding an aggressive swing tackle in Sam Tevi in the sixth was a nice find, and adding versatile 3-4 lineman Isaac Rochell in the seventh was a solid pick.

Los Angeles Chargers

I didn't love taking receiver Mike Williams that high in the first round, but I think they had a really good draft in the next four rounds. Williams doesn't separate enough for my liking. They upgraded their offensive line with Forrest Lamp and Dan Feeney and added two other weapons for Philip Rivers and two quality safeties. Nice job. Taking Williams too high drops it down from an A for me.
Grade: B+

Great draft . Why do people think wr wasn't a big need . KA is never healthy . Tyrell is a young developing player and Inman is just ok. Get a playmaker a wr can impact your team so much. Think atl dal giants.

I said it in another thread - a red zone threat (who makes our other threats more lethal) is absolutely a need. How many games did our offense stall inside the 20 and we settled for (or missed) a field goal? How many games did we lose by 1 score? What would our record have been if we reversed a few of those? We'll never know, but our offensive train pretty much parked itself at the station when Keenan and Woodhead went down.
