Is that what we're getting at here?

I'm still trying to figure out how you can be arrested for DUI, and not consider it criminal. But it's very obvious that we don't have the same perception.

This thread is about Te'o, so before this devolves any further how about we get back on topic?

I see a criminal as someone who lives their life to commit crimes. Someone who makes a mistake, learns from the mistake, and betters their life because of it is far from being a criminal. In fact even being called a criminal is EXTREMELY insulting to someone who lives their life as pure and straight forward as I do. You have gone out of your way top "prove" I am a criminal and TBH, it's very insulting Tom.

I can imagine someone being busted for tinted windows or a misdemeanor charge for marijuana feels about the same way I do. And yes, if you consider me a criminal Tom then go ahead and call everyone on the board a criminal. Every single one of us has committed a crime in their life time, some just get caught while others do not. You judge me and label me because I got caught.

Good day

I have NOT judged you, nor labeled you.

I simply stated that DUI was a criminal offense, and saying otherwise was ridiculous. There is a big difference.

If you choose to personalize that, and all you got out of that was me labeling or judging you, then I don't know what else there is to say.

In fact, I'm sure it was embarassing for you, and I'm sure you do just like everyone else, and try to do the right thing always.

But to say it isn't criminal to be DUI because there was no damage done, is flawed thinking, in my opinion. I'm sure it's a sore spot with you, and you don't like feeling like you're being judged or labeled because of your mistake.

But, let me say this again, I never judged you, nor labeled you. I was talking about the offense itself, not you personally.

We've had threads detour like this before.

Please get back on topic, or the thread dies.

Yes you did Tom. I said I am not a criminal, you said I was because of the DUI. I said to the original post that some offenses do not make a person a criminal, you continued to press the fact that it does. Did I break the law...yes. Does that make me a criminal...no. It means I am someone who made a mistake and learned from it....far from being a criminal.

Then you got on that big old high horse and said that anyone who breaks any kind of a law is a criminal. Pure and simple.

You can continue to call me a criminal and dodge the fact that you did all you want. But before you call me a criminal, based off of YOUR definition, go look in the mirror first. If you have even broken one law in your life (doesn't matter if you got caught) you too are a criminal.
