No chance. Kaepernick is the 49ers future if not present starting Qb. We can have A. Smith but he won't work in Norv's vertical game. Bringing in A. Smith means a complete retool of the coaching staff, O line and RBs. It also means giving up on PR which I'm sure Spanos is not ready to do. We live and die with PR. Best chance we have in the next 3-4 years is to rebuild the O line and pray PR gets his mojo back.

How exactly are the Chargers supposed to trade River to both Buffalo AND KC? Are they going to clone him?

I don't think Buffalo is going to give up on Fitz that easily, they just paid him a ton of money last year. We'll see...

Kaepernick isn't going anywhere.

I predict Rivers,Gates,and a late round pic for KC's 1st pic and then trade that pic and a late round pic to Seattle for their 1st round,plus and Matt Flynn.
This willbe the splash our new GM Holgroom(sp) and HC Reid will make.
