Wait out Rivers' contract. No QBs this year are worth it. Hope Johnny Football can develop into the real deal and become Aaron Rodgers.

Play Whitehurst for the remainer of the season if we losse the next 3 games.Then evaluate the QB & Oline situation durring the offseason.

Shanahan's offense doesn't require a world beater at qb like RG3, they just have to be able to execute a bootleg successfully. Cousins can do that. Lets not forget that he's a rookie, but ur right...gotta love the cmb.

I wouldn't scrap rivers or draft a qb now to use in the future. I want to see him with a real coach and an o-line, then we can see if he truly is garbage or if he can still play. Aside from the pick six, rivers was great against tampa even with very little run game and bad oline play.

I disagree to some extent,
When you look at Shanahan's O.It was far more successful w/ QB;s like Elway,Plummer, and RGIII,than pocket QB's like Greise,Grossman,Beck,and Kubiac
Rivers is far less mobile than all above

Its time to start rebuilding, but I doubt any other GM would want Rivers at this point. Plus you have to factor in who will be replacing him. I'm not big on any of the quarterbacks in the upcoming draft. It looks like we might be seeing Rivers forcing passes into coverage for a few more years.
