Default The Book Thread!

Not sure if one already exists, i unsuccessfully google-searched this site to find one.

I promised i wont discuss the chargers and shed more negativity this week after the Raiders game, so here's a new one.

Listened to an interview with Jim Trotter on the radio this morning and he was talking about a book he just release about the great Junior Seau. Has any one read it or ordered it? I mean, just hearing him talk about some of the things that Junior has gone through makes you choke up a little man.

Here's the book title Junior Seau: The Life and Death of a Football Icon - October 27, 2015

Otherwise, what is a good recent book you've read? Feel free to share and review!

I took a break from Game of Thrones to try reading Enders Game in Spanish (still learning). I really liked it in English and it wasn't too difficult so I figured I would give it a try. It's moving slowly needless to say.

After that I plan on reading Flash Boys, then back to GOT book 4.

I'll let you know soon. I just finished the series on TV and will now start the books.

The final 3 episodes in season 6 were 3 of the finest television shows I've ever seen in my life

i'm not a GoT devotee like my wife and son but i did watch the episode last season with that epic battle scene and dog scene at the end. That was brilliant

Game of Thrones has been brilliant. The season was a painful long wait for an epic final 2 episodes.

So the books any good?

I have failed to actually finish EVERY SINGLE book i've started reading this year. My ADD is terrible and I completely lost focus.

Here are some books I am reading right now:
* HBR Communication (from the top 10 must reads). My buddy has 2 more of them that I'm going to snatch right after i finish this. I absolutely highly recommend them all. They're short and sweet

https://hbr.org/product/hbr-s-10-mus...11364E-KND-ENG

(dont pay 25 bucks tho, dig around and find cheaper)

* Influence, the Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini.

* Modern Romance, Aziz Ansari

* The Encyclopedia of Body Building by Arnold. It's just something I like to pick up and read when I want motivation for gym, etc

* The Narcissist you know https://www.amazon.com/Narcissist-Yo.../dp/1476785686

This is a book i picked up to deal with my own agitation with how people present themselves on social media, and it ended up teaching me much more than that about people and myself.

Have not finished any of them. It's killing me.

^^^^^ Maybe there's a book to add to the list?: "How To Overcome Your ADD By Finishing This Book." ?
