Just imagine what this FO could do with more picks in the draft ... oh, never mind.
Just imagine the complete meltdown of the CMB if PR agreed to go to Denver.

It..... would... be... EEEEEEEEEEPIC! lol

At that point i would completely quit being a charger fan period. Denver screwing us over for the next five years would be just to much to take as a fan.

It would have been unthinkable to me a few years ago. With the Spanos clan's betrayal of the fans of this town, I'd be fine with it now.

John Spanos was named President—Football Operations for the Chargers in May 2015. He oversees all of the team’s football operations, including player personnel, coaching, player finance and the salary cap, medical, equipment, video, player engagement and security. He also represents the team at all league and management council meetings.

Drawing from his scouting experience, Spanos has seen his role in the NFL Draft grow exponentially since his ascension in 2013 and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. The team’s 2013 draft yielded three key starters: tackle D.J. Fluker, linebacker Manti Te’o, and wide receiver and Pepsi Next NFL Rookie of the Year Keenan Allen. The 2014 draft class saw four of the six players the Chargers selected make the team’s opening day roster, and the 2015 class is full of promising talent, headlined by running back Melvin Gordon, winner of the 2014 Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back, and runner up for the 2014 Heisman Trophy.

It seems we have gotten worse as a franchise with every promotion John has been given. It's just my opinion but the heart of the problem is John. Unfortunately, he'll never be let go so we look to be in trouble for some time to come.
I think you have a legit point, MM/TT get talked about considerably while J. Spanos doesn't, yet he holds quite a bit of decision making power.

Unfortunately it's impossible for us to know the inside scoop.

Go Chargers!

So again Ron Wolf gets a pass? You know, the professional consultant that the Spanos family hired to find them their new GM, since they wanted to make sure they got it right?

And how do you hold John Spanos accountable for a hire three years ago, when he took over in May of this year?

I'm not sure there will be any feathers left over after we're done with John, but I think we can manage to at least cover Wolf in hot tar...

If the Spanos family knew what they were doing, they wouldn't need Wolfe in the first place

Johns hands are all over this terrible roster. His bio says just that.

Not the way TT trades away picks to move up a slot or two to pick up a second rate first rounder...

John was part of the interview process for the GM position. They can hire whoever they want as consultants but ultimately it is the Spanos family who make the final decision.

I doubt the Chargers are the only ones who hire consultants when shopping for GMs.
