Pittsburgh
Fitzgerald Toussaint - 7 games on roster, 1 start, 139 yards
Jordan Todman - 13 games on roster, 0 starts, 93 yards

Leading rusher in game vs Donks was Martavius Bryant (a WR, who was also the leading receiver in the game by far)

Additionally, the #1 Receiver not only for the team, but the entire league missed the game with a concussion.

New England
Brandon Bolden - 17 games active, 3 starts, 219 yards
Jackson - 4 games on roster, 1 start , 74 yards
White - 16 games active, 2 starts, 72 yards

Leading rusher in game vs Donks was Tom Brady with 13 yards

I'm pretty sure it has to be a record, to face two teams in the playoffs with such dismal rushing attacks (due to multiple injuries). 597 total rushing yards on the season (playoffs included) collectively between the 5 RB's they faced. There is no way any other team has faced a group with less rushing yards on the season for even 1 team, let alone 2 combined.

And just a reminder that both teams gave the Donks a hell of a challenge. One was decided by a fumble from one of the RB's who had no business playing in a playoff game (especially in crunch time) and the other essentially came down to a shanked PAT.

And some have the audacity to say that defense is amongst the greatest ever. Hah !
Nice work, Chop.

I'm sure you do. Between you and tom, the amount of effort you put into the Broncos is either impressive or frightening.

Yardage numbers that each team that played 2 playoff games (prior to the SB) faced.

The number listed is the combined totals for both opponents faced, but only of players who appeared in the respective playoff games. Numbers include regular season and playoff games up to and including the respective showdown.

This shows how much of a break the Donks got, by all the impact players from the Steelers/Pats that were out with injuries, and how it compares to what all of the other teams that played 2 games before the SB were dealt

Note: the numbers listed by team are actually numbers for the opponents they faced, so in other words what their defense's were going up against For example the Cardinals and Seahwaks have a very high number in rushing yards because they faced the regular starters in their 2 playoff games. The Donks have a ridiculously low number, because they faced the likes of Jordan Todman. Same idea for the receiving and total yards categories.

Collective Rushing Yards by players whom they faced in first 2 playoff games:

1. Cardinals - 4,257
2. Seahawks - 4,020
3. Steelers - 3,272
4. Pats - 3,185
5. Panthers - 2,156
6. Packers - 1,986
7. Chiefs - 1,590
8. Donks - 597

Collective Receiving Yards by players whom they faced in first 2 playoff games:

1. Panthers - 7,405
2. Packers - 7,186
3. Chiefs - 6,912
4. Pats - 6,753
5. Steelers - 6,713
6. Seahawks - 5,834
7. Donks - 5,811
8. Cardinals - 4,667

Collective Total Yards by players whom they faced in first 2 playoff games:

1. Steelers - 9,985
2. Pats - 9,938
3. Seahawks - 9,854
4. Panthers - 9,561
5. Packers - 9,172
6. Cardinals - 8,924
7. Chiefs - 8,502
8. Donks - 6,478

You play who you are slated to. We were the underdog in all three games, isn't that right chopper? You got in on the favorite action. Did we get some breaks? Maybe. We still faced the fourth, second and first rated offenses in the playoffs and totally throttled them. I'm totally happy.

No. No you didn't.

You think Pitt is a top-5 offense without BOTH Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown?

You think NE is, without ANYONE to run the rock?

And clearly your defense knew they couldn't stop a real RB -- that's why one of your guys twisted James Stewart's ankle under a dog pile in the first quarter.

Pfffffft.

You play who you get...Roethlisberger, Brady and Newton, the MVP. What more can you get?

Easy: Roethlisberger WITH a RB (or his WR). Brady WITH a RB. Newton WITH a RB.

According to some posters, we didn't have either. What's the problem?

You were definitely not the underdogs against Pittsburgh. They still nearly beat you, and would have without Touissant (a guy who had no business being active in a playoff game) coughing it up.

You're right that you play who you get, and you can't control that. You definitely received a lot of breaks to get to the SB though. The SB game was the only time you actually faced a team that wasn't majorly handicapped.
