I like Reid also. In fact we have a pretty good DL group. I'm not against adding talent though.
Our D should be a strength. Where we go at #7 will impact the rest of the draft.
In my draft, we'll take DL, DB,OL, RB, WR/TE not necessarily in that order.
I would say Liuget has more two gap capability than Reid.
It is time to fine tune our Big Boards.
sonora, I am particularly looking for draftees
that fill in the gaps of our team.
We are all here to help TT.
I just narrowed my Big Board down to about 75 yesterday.

I'm thinking Mebane, Liuget and Square can line up over or on either side. Reid & Philon are probably better off one-gapping. Bosa, Ingram, Attaochu and Emanuel will come from DE.

I see a need for talent infusion at all three levels.
A crusher and a DB would be nice.
I am still wrestling with the idea of Ingram at LEO and Ingram at SAM.

So how much better will our defense be in Bradley's 4-3 if we only address secondary in draft. Ie s, cb. Use the rest of picks on offense.

Or does he just build on Pags 3-4 hybrid 4-3 system?

It's all relative.
Bradley's D is basically a 4-3 without a lot of substitutions.
I'm guessing we'll draft 1 & 2 defense. S and DE IMO. Our offense put up a lot of points last year. Unfortunately our D gave up more than we scored more often than not. The 2016 SDC were #9 scoring offense, #29 scoring defense.

How much is that on all the turnovers on offense though?

Some. In truth the D was lousy but not THAT lousy. Both sides were guilty in the 4th qtr losses. All three sides actually. Special teams were not much help either. We did NOT play complimentary football.
Probably why there's a new HC, DC and STs coach.

It's obvious Injuries were a bigger part of the offense downfall. I think when healthy our offense would have been much better than Defense last year. If we assume everyone is healthy what positions will be an instant upgrade to help this team.
I feel the defense needs more to bring up to a level of Playoff team. Our secondary need another guy of verrett caliber. s + cb should do it. The DL and Passrush should be able to get better with current players. Our LB core may be set this year.

That bring us to Offense. OL is obvious need but we have Starter could be upgraded. Is their a guy in the draft who can be a plug and play and be dominant on OL the same way a defensive player would be. I don't think so and the proffessional mocks have shown that.

We need OL help that can be a starters at some point during the season. That could be a 2nd - 4th rd pick.
I have no clue about special teams, but if they draft a RB/KR/PR we should be able to help 2 needs.

Go defense first two pick, then offense with rest.

Losing Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead and Brandon Oliver early last year obviously put a crimp on what we could do well. KA & DW were stars, BO good depth/rotation RB- possible #1 KR.
Benjamin was signed to make punt returns an asset. McCluster PR/KR. Neither had a favorable impact on STs, didn't make many plays at WR or RB either. McCluster is currently a FA as far as I can tell.

The D lost Te'o, Verrett, Dzubnar, Reid and Mebane to IR. Flowers and Addae spent a lot of time on inactive list with injuries. Verrett, Flowers and Addae impacted the secondary, Reid & Mebane the DL.

OL, WR, RB, QB on O, KR, PR on STs, DL, S, CB on D should be in consideration.
I'd prioritize talent day 1-2, try to fill needs left unmet day 3, UDFA, FA, trade.
