A lot more will become clearer as the draft draws nearer my mock will probably change at least 3 more times hopefully will be able to figure out possible scheme sets after free agency.

Fluker gets a team friendly deal only-ditto Flowers, Woodhead !

I hope TT will be smart.

And I hope Mecho91 and woodeye can keep it down to v9 on mocks...

We tighten up our D with some playmakers in the draft, we sign a proven O-lineman in free agency to improve depth, and we will compete for the playoffs next year with a lot of players coming back.

Of course we could use an Olineman to come in and start day 1, so can every team. But with what we have, and what we have coming back healthy, I don't see any evidence that other Defenses can shut our O down. Can't say teh same for our defense. JFEEVA is coming back, but we we need more. Our focus needs to be on Defense and shutting down the likes of the Chiefs, Donks, and Raiders.
I tend to agree with you kubek07, although I overvalue Oline here.

It is noteworthy that Reuter predicts a serious run, a depletion, of Oline, late round one, due to scarcity.

We are cool on offense otherwise, yes, pretty much.

What about value, like Tre'Davius @ 38, Anzalone @ 71, and Butt @ ~ 110, Eye ask you all ?

There are zillions of RBs, TEs, & DBs.

Age old questions. PON. BPA. What will TT really do ?

TT, if he sticks to patterns, will go PON Round 1 and Round2. DB/OL.

How much do you suppose we'd have to give away to get back into the first?

Would 38 and our 4th get us up to 28-32?

Is it worth it to land, say, Hooker and Bolles or Williams and Feeney?

I would say no.....

This team needs to use all its' picks, not trade them away. The key is not missing on those picks. If TT had been successful with the picks he has used on O-line players, this O-line would not be the problem it is.

Same hope TT is smart has been alright so far though and agree on the mocks certainly don't have the enthusiasm to get to a v9 on a mock draft.

Most LTs don't have a great "push"... you don't want a phone booth OT, you want someone who can pass protect and who can create seams/space horizontally via downblocks and who can move to the 2nd level effectively.

One of our biggest issues is that we don't have guys who can block on the move effectively, which has led to a complete breakdown at the 2nd level.

Bolles received the highest run blocking grade this year per PFF, largely because he can do exactly those things that we're lacking.

It actually did. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did we not take a "4-3" only DE with the 3rd pick to play for a 3-4 running DC? And did said player not win DROY?

Verrett's no Sherman, we better trade him for a 6 footer, stat!

Watching the Senior Bowl Practices on NFLN.

Mayock is talking about how Hassan Riddick and how he fits into schemes. Compares him to Jatavis Brown and think both would strive at the MIKE position in a 4-3 system, where he thinks the Chargers are headed.
