Default Chargers restructuring staff

We'll have to wait to see if the Chargers have less injuries next season.

  • The story you linked to is based on the following tweet:
    https://twitter.com/alexmarvez/statu...59849264312324
  • The S&C coach (who is NOT Collins) was let go over a week ago. It was the S&C coach whom was suppose to work to prevent injuries.
  • According to a SDUT article, a restructuring is in the works (not the same as fired)
  • Collins had nothing to do with injury prevention work - his job was working with players to recover from their injuries - and keeping track of the injuries.
Nice try though

The Chargers already were known to be moving on from head strength and conditioning coach Kent Johnston, whom former head coach Mike McCoy appointed in 2013. Anthony Lynn, McCoy’s successor, remains in the process of identifying Johnston’s replacement, having interviewed candidates over the past week-plus. Lynn also must hire a special teams coordinator.
Think you missed this part in the article about Kent Johnston, looks like hes already been fired since Lynn is already looking for a replacement.

edit
wait you mentioned he was let go already. but yeah, i think the OP's point is still the same. We are getting a new S&C coach sooner or later for this upcoming season.

Pretty sure Johnston (S&C) and Auckerman (STs) have been let go.
Head trainer Collins (OP) - maybe.

Speaking of injuries and S and T. Has anyone ever heard of specific schemes ran affecting injury frequency?

Could a scheme change in any form on any side of the ball, including STs have an affect on injuries being more or less likely to happen? Any article out there?
