So we have two LTs in Dunlap and Okung? I like most of Your restrict/cut though I would just cut Flowers outright.

Also a question for everyone who likes Okung. What's the big deal with him? He was not all that great last year and it was his first year playing a full 16 games in his carreer.

I would cut players like Franklin with the goal of opening cap room in 2018. Every year since TT has been here our cap has been maxed out without looking at the future.

My current thoughts are to cut Fluker (8.8m), Stevie Johnson (3.5) and renegotiate Flowers (4.0). That gives us an additional $15-16m. Cutting Franklin is not worth the dead cap and hopefully the new oline scheme benefits him.

I would rather keep Flowers at a lower salary and use him as our 3rd corner. Decent corners are very expensive in free agency.

I can see at most two new starts on the Oline. We had the worst, or second worse, oline last year. Some changes are needed, but we cannot replace 80% of the line.

Everyone but Stuckey

So you ask PR to grudgingly move to LA then you are going to ask him to restructure his contract?!? Oh heck no... I'd tell the front office to take a walk...

PFF says our top needs are OT. OG. DT.

Addae and Woodhead got sweet offers this morning.

My latest lucky guess cluster.

1. Jonathan Allen.
2. Mike Williams.
3. Marshon Lattimore.

It may very well be that Flowers will retire and we will draft Lattimore.

J. Allen apparently has arthritis in his shoulder so that's a no go. Davis seems more like the player TT likes at WR. Would love Lattimore as that would give us one of the best secondaries in the league.

Awesome

I believe he will retire, if not this would be amazing

Traded Corey Liuget (LAC), Darrell Stuckey (LAC) for Brandin Cooks (NO)
(Saved: $6,336,802)

The Saints are reportedly asking for a first for Cooks. We would have to add a 4th. It would be a great trade if this were to happen, as much as I like Liuget btw.

Restructured Travis Benjamin
(Saved: $2,983,333)
Difficult but would take it.

Released Orlando Franklin
(Saved: $2,800,000)

NOOOOOO, he literally is the only one run blocker we have. 4,5 ypc to his side against 3 to the right. NO! BAD BOLTUP!

Restructured King Dunlap
(Saved: $2,425,000)

yeah, why not.

Released D.J. Fluker
(Saved: $8,821,000)
No brainer.

Released Stevie Johnson
(Saved: $3,500,000)

Again no brainer, specially if you get Cooks

John Cyprien signed as a free agent
(Cap: $5,500,000)
He is a worse version of Addae, don't like him at all.

Russell Okung signed as a free agent
(Cap: $8,700,000)

No way Okung is worth that, he is a penalty machine and not even a good blocker as of late

Cap remaining 30.5M
So after taking away those IMO horrid FAs and using your moves we have according to you 42.5M. Zeitler and Whitworth would be my targets.

Whitworth would be about 8 mill a year, I imagine him getting a 1 or 2 year deal. Zeitler about 11 for 4 years.
If we get Whitworth I would be on board of drafting Robinson at 7, he could be his mentor and Whitworth's strengths are Robinson's weaknesses.
This would leave us with no much more cap space for internal FAs, but I don't expect them to be very expensive. with 20 Mill-7 for Draft and -7 for internal FAs, we would have around 6 Mill for the season which seems nice...
Or you know draft Lamp and forget about literally stealing the Bengals left OL...
