Now I know a lot of you are thinking that this is probably a disaster waiting to happen, but thinking about the new ZBS that we'll be running as well as the new OLine coach we have who's to say that we can't succeed with these players? So what you will with the level of talent these players have or don't have by I think if it turns out like this, we're given a better option at picking another player of need in the first round of the draft. Gives us the choice of picking up an OLB or NT in the first. I look at our defense taking a bigger hit than the offense this off season. I just believe that if Gaither was going to be released it would hav happened already and the FO wants to see if they can get him to work.

I agree with putting faith in Jared Gaither, if not only so that we don't absolutely force ourselves into picking an OT in the 1st. Forcing yourself into picking for need gets us AJ Smith drafting. We should draft the best player available regardless, and hope that something happens where we have a bit of insurance against Gaither's back.

If the Chargers are waiting to see how the draft plays out for them is the reason they're keeping Gaither then it's smart move by them. Many teams will wait till the season start to sign him because the money is not guaranteed. But its a big IF because the guy already had a bad history with 3 different team already.
