Like everything else, just tell people you did.

They'll know it's legit.

A life long Chager season ticket holder like me, would bring the house down...Not a dry eye in the house.
I for one would need to see a draft of your speech before forwarding it to the appropriate parties.

The best Offense is a good Defense.

Moe I would tell them where I was when LT was drafted.....

I was at Qualcomm Stadium with a lot of other fans...For those message board fans in name only, we held the first pick of the draft that year (2001) but traded it to Atlanta so they could draft Vick...We in turn took LT, and picked up an additional 3rd round pick, plus Tim Dwight....

John Butler, who I personally knew as a friend, was a shrewd General manager that day...He received much praise, but there were a few negative people (imagine that) that criticized him as well....Things don't change around here.

When John drafted Drew I felt great things were going to happen for us...But we all know what happened....

Moe, I would describe the joy felt in the room when his name was announced...How strangers high fived each other....People just started singing San Diego Super Charger in unison...A sense of hope had been reborn...

I was there too! In the drizzle... great day for SD Chargers football. The last part of the 1st round was gut wrenching... hoping those teams wouldn't pick Brees. Couldn't believe it when Brees was there in the 2nd round. Almost as exciting as picking LT with the #5.

Bolt buddy, you, Moe, and me are real fans, not message board fans like so many here...I bet you did what I did when LT came to training camp...You went and watched him and Brees work out, just like I did, and had visions of the great things to come...Unfortunately, Big John got sick and he couldn't finish his plans to bring the Bolts back into prominence..

That was the way the room at the Murph was when Tampa Bay passed on Junior. We erupted when we got Seau. High fives were abundant and needed no introduction first.

Yep. RIP JB. Those were fun days... I think UCSD campus back in those days. I'll miss checking out training camp.

I get your point but I don't think there could be anyone better for the job than Lo Neal. What a great pair they were. They should be showing film of them to Watt and Gordon. )

I'll always wonder what this franchise could have turned into if Big John had been healthy.
