Default Chargers Meet and Workout VCU Basketball Player

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that VCU basketball player Mo Alie-Cox is scheduled to visit and workout for the Chiefs, Seahawks and Chargers. According to Rapoport, it’s still possible more teams could bring him in over the next few weeks.

Mike Garafolo reports that Alie-Cox measured 6-5.5 at 262 pounds to go along with 86 2/8 wing span, 11 1/8 hands, and 35 7/8 arms. He ran a 4.65 40-yard dash to go along with a 35.5 vertical, 10.8 broad jump, 4.45 shuttle and a 7.25 3-cone time.

Alie-Cox is making the transition to football as a tight end, but is not draft eligible this year, which means he’s free to sign on with a team of his choosing.

Wouldn't it be something if we signed another basketball player turned stud TE as an UDFA?

You would think having gates the ultimate udfa basketball turned TE here would be attractive for him.
Even having a proven qb that excelled throwing to gates should give us an edge when he decides

I don't think a player like Gates can be created or scouted... 32 teams dropped the ball (so to speak) on drafting Gates and we were lucky enough to pick him up.

The expectations alone will smother the kid...

Gates is once a generation...

Maybe Mo is the next, but I doubt it...

The best Offense is a good Defense.

2. OL
3. Brad Kaaya (time to look forward to a new era at QB)
4. Joe Mixon RB (talented back who'll drop for off field altercation 2 years ago).
