Not sure if this has already been posted, if so please merge:
Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee is no stranger to coming back from serious leg injuries. He's facing yet another challenge. FOX Sports Insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reports McGahee will miss six to eight weeks after suffering a torn MCL and a fracture in his leg during Sunday's 30-23 win over the San Diego Chargers. NFL.com's Albert Breer later confirmed the report. McGahee was injured at the conclusion of an 8-yard run in the second quarter. McGahee had been optimistic the injury wasn't going to cost him time, but an MRI revealed the damage on Monday. McGahee had been enjoying a strong season as the featured back in Denver, rushing for 731 yards on 167 carries and four touchdowns in 10 games. With McGahee sidelined, Ronnie Hillman is expected to handle the bulk of the carries for the Broncos. McGahee was the 23rd overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2003 NFL Draft, despite suffering one of the most gruesome knee injuries in recent memory during his final college game with the University of Miami. McGahee sat out his rookie season with Buffalo, but has put together a sturdy NFL career with three teams over 10 seasons. UPDATE: McGahee was told by doctors to not put any weight on his leg, according to Adam Schefter. He will not need surgery and is expecting to return in four to six weeks. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...cl-for-broncos

Since we are already out of it, it will be nice to see what hillman can do. It sucks that it had to come on a McGahee injury though

potentially devasting blow...
RB is our thinnest position, so losing mcgahee is a big blow... hopefully next man up can carry the torch... |

I think Hillman will prove to be better than a scatback like everyone says he will be

It's not like last year where you are reliant on the run. I think Hillman will be fine for a few games.

It will be interesting to see if the Broncos current scheme allows for any RB to be like the last -- that's something they benefited from typically with Shanahan. But now it's more of Peyton's game on offense. Just protect him and they'll be fine.
