and I noticed this season for the first time, that he has a severe problem throwing across his body when he is scrambling !!!

He does lack mobility and he is a bit of a you know what when it comes to running with the ball, I mean the most Blatant thing...is that...He refuses to play Tough and will always avoid the hit, but you look at a Guy Like Griffen, A ROOKIE playing his first season ever in the NFL who almost DARES the other team to hit him, and Runs anyway, and it makes me wonder just How OVERRATED Rivers has really been...

...like I said a Long time ago, the guy is just the NFL's equivalent of Carey Price, a boatload of talent, the worst possible attitude, thinks his crap doesn't stink, a super guy off the field so everyone loves him, but He is Never going to win a thing in this league, he has proven over and over again, that he is either incapable of or refuses to LEARN from his own mistakes....and this lack of cognitive dissonance is what is destroying his career right now !!! !!!

Had he Just had some gonads alone, that one thing, him running with the ball when he should could have helped this team win twice as many games as they have since he has been there!!!

For some reason he just will NOT do it, he refuses to Play Tough !!!

Both Mentally & Physically !!!

The coaching staff & mgmt doing nothing about it now for the 5 years it's been in everyone's face...is INEXCUSABLE !!!

That's the sign of a team that prepares to LOSE!!!

Carey Price has no cognitive dissonance.

He was scored on over 15 times this past last season alone playing the puck behind his own net{an NHL all time record} for no reason other than to get attention...and the coaching staff said nothing, over and over and over, each game there he was, causing a goal to be scored against the Habs because he came out and miss-played a puck he shouldn't have been playing to begin with, has anyone in MGMT said anything to the guy, 5 years now not one word, 5 years of Epic Failures and they reward the guy with a 50 Million Dollar contract and for the next 6 years at that making it 100% certain the HABS win nothing for another 6 years and in appreciation for 6 years worth of being possibly the very worst Goal Tender, the Most Over Rated and Under Achieving Goal tender in the History of The NHL...125 years at least !!!

Phillip Rivers is the NFL's equivalent with respect to QB's !!!

The Hardest part is Rivers, Has 50 Times the raw talent Price does !!!

But he is Physically and/or mentally lazy and refuses to HONE it !!!

Just Like Price...MGMT says and does NOTHING...just like with Price !

This game versus DENVER, just may be the beginning of the end of this team even being in San Diego anymore !!!

Unless Rivers suddenly morphs into a different Human Being !!!

and of course, the COACHING STAFF AND MGMT start learning about two little things called "proper play calling" and "creativity" !!!

Sad Part is they can only do that with a Player who has an OPEN mind and some Cognitive Dissonance !!!

Rivers obviously has neither !!!

And Neither does the MGMT !!!
I disagree. Rivers use to scramble a lot before he hurt his knee, which the injury was kept quiet during the playoffs in 2007.
I would be scared to reinjure my knee on a scramble if I was him. He's still wears a brace on that knee 5 years later.

Man he could zip it around when he was younger. Anyone else think that PR might need to lose some weight? I would say he has gained at lease 20lbs since 2006. Might take some pressure off his knees.

P.s. he should also lose the stache', he looks like a character on "Chips."

Someone else raised the same question in another thread, wondering if fatigue could play a part in his abysmal 4th quarter performances.

Even then he could have been timed with a calendar.

Never know. I for one fluctuate ten to fifteen pounds pretty regularly and when I have gained 15, I definately feel it (energy wise ), as opposed to when I am lighter.

probably not a bad idea for him to lose weight, I remember Mcnabb had the same problem and was fatigued and was less mobile down the stretch. He sort of fell out of his prime exactly like Rivers is.

Yeah, I guess it was talked about frequently in Philly that McNabb ate his way out of the league. He was never a small guy, but his double chin just kept getting bigger.
