People...
that would take some guts. But I would be all for it. I have no confidence in any RB lasting the whole season in the NFL anymore. Every team needs at least 2 starting caliber backs and 3rd down backs dont really count.

1. Reuben Foster (get a top 5 player without a top 5 pick. Foster will be an absolute monster in the pros). Never enough LBs in the NFL and guys like#51 dont belong in the starting lineup.
2. OL
3. Brad Kaaya (time to look forward to a new era at QB)
4. Joe Mixon RB (talented back who'll drop for off field altercation 2 years ago).

Even DAL. They make sure they have someone behind Zeke.

Woody is plus 31 YO and injury prone. Cold decision.

Others are jags.

This draft has several midround RBs of all types who are great value picks.

MG III is his own 3rd down back. three fourths of the snaps.

A high quality backup. One quarter of the snaps. Returner.

JMO.
Exactly.

Find someone later in the draft, and if we want a 3rd down back type player go out and take someone like Justin Davis in the 5th round or so who can also run the ball.

At the end of the day we need o-line so we are running effectively, and not running just to keep the defense somewhat honest.

This team can't close out games because we can't run the ball effectively. Yes Gordon should have had over 1,000 yards, but I wouldn't say the o-line allowed us effectively, because if they did I would assume the run game would have been a bigger factor to close out games which it wasn't.

Invest in the o-line, and you can afford not having a stable of backs because our RB's won't get piled on at the LOS 15 of the 25 rushing plays.

Also whoever our next HC is, we got to make sure the shotgun draw is not in his or his OC's playbook .

I agree with your OL over a plethora of RBs thoughts - but the last line I don't.

Setting aside that all run plays of the Chargers from the shotgun are not 'draws', eliminating the threat of a run while in shotgun plays right into the hands of the opposing defense. I would strike off the list any HC/OC combo that did that very quickly.
