Here is something interesting to consider though...
SF, Chi, Jax and Ten (in other words, picks 2-5) have all been heavily rumored to be interested in trading down. I may be reading between the lines too much, but I read this as teams not seeing a clear #2.

Someone else here recently summed it up perfectly, there a tier 1 guy who will be the #1 overall pick, then there is tier 2 which is more or less flat from 2-8 or so.

To answer your question on Hooker. I think he is a high risk, high upside player. Typically, picking in the top 10 means you suck and you need to get a "sure pick" but we have a good team and are only picking this high due to injuries. Hooker has been called the next Ed Reed by a number of people... if you think that is even close to right, you take him no questions asked.

To me it's pretty simple... if Hooker pans out and becomes Reed 2.0, or even Reed-lite, then we win a Super Bowl.. It's that simple. And if he doesn't pan out then we just continue not winning a Super Bowl, which is what we've done for 50 years.

I'll take that bet.
Strong takes. THAT is how the Draft Geeks need to be answering their King.

Also, find the person that is promoting Howard at number 7, and have him report to the Guillotine.

Hint: That is a French killing device.

It would actually be known as a 'French execution device'......killing is a term used by the commoners or peasants.

You must be 'king' of the commoners.....

Here's my problem with Malik Hooker:

He missed 13 tackles and had only 17 stops. He's not a very good tackler, and Telesco wants a safety who is solid at tackling.

However, I also don't think Adams or Hooker fall to 7.

Gus's system requires tackle machines at both safety positions. If Gus tells TT he can coach him up, Hooker will be a San Diego Charger.....would be funny if Roger messes up and says San Diego.

Garrett (won't be there)
S Thomas - a real disrupter in the middle. Think how this could help Bosa.
J Adams - don't see a real downside except interceptions. Good tackler
M Hooker - the need at safety is real
C McCaffrey - can you say D Sproles?

I don't see a choice that wouldn't make me happy! Except trading down - too much potential in the first ten picks tonight.

I can say neither one of them warrants the 7th pick overall.

GameTime may be making a move to join The Royal Executive Court.

McCaffrey is a 4 down player. That alone puts him in the top 10...that probably eliminates me from admittance to the Royal Executive Court -
